Solaplex Pigments

Solaplex™ Pigments are ideal for use in the highest performance coatings and plastics, with the following benefits:

  • Enhanced colour brightness and cleanliness in the yellow to orange colour space over other inorganic pigments
  • The outstanding weatherfastness and lightfastness of an inorganic pigment, exhibiting superior colour and gloss retention to conventional titanates
  • Excellent chemical resistance providing wide compatibility in reactive and acid catalysed systems
  • Ideal for applications that are exposed to elevated process or in-use temperatures
  • Superior UV and visual opacity to conventional titanates, comparable to Bismuth Vanadate
  • Less abrasive than conventional titanates
  • No detrimental effect on rheology at high pigment loadings

Environmental Compliance

Solaplex™ Pigments are an environmentally acceptable alternative to lead or chromium containing pigments.

Solaplex™ Pigments comply with the European Guideline for Indirect Food Contact, AP(89)1 and the Toys Test, EN71:Part 3, based on analysis of typical batches.

Solaplex™ Pigments are not classified as hazardous under the CHIP 3 regulations, 2002, and the attendant EU directives 67/548/EEC, 88/379/EEC, neither are they classified as "special waste".
